Velo Orange Quick Release Skewers
$19.00
A good quick release skewer is a MUST for a safe ride. Unfortunately, the best quick release skewers of all time, the Campagnolo Record skewers produced from 1999 to 2005, are discontinued. Even if you can find one they are obscenely expensive. This is where Velo Orange comes in. Velo Orange specializes in reproducing items that are either over-priced or unavailable. Their products tend to be almost as good as the originals and these skewers don't disappoint. They function and look just like the original Campy skewers, with just a little less finish and polish. The hole on the lever is a little less finished. The lever doesn't have the same level of mirror polish as the originals. The head of the skewers is laser-etched rather than engraved. That being said, they are as good as I've seen recently, out-matched only by Shimano Dura-Ace. And they are light years better than the plastic shim-style skewers that come stock on most bikes. So if they are not the absolute best then why get them? Because at $19, they are a bargain. They would be a bargain at $60, but at $19 you will not find anything better.

Moots Vamoots RSL
$7,000.00 - $14,025.00
If we may be so bold, this is simply the best titanium bike out there. You're looking at Moots because you're already familiar with their quality control, their precision welds, and their timeless style. What sets this model apart from the rest of their line-up is the use of oversized 3/2.5 titanium tubing to maximize performance and their use of seamlessly-drawn 6/4 ti to allow for a smooth, yet connected ride. The description that is constantly over-used in the industry is "laterally stiff while vertically compliant", but this bike really manages to provide a race-level pedaling platform that will please the most aggressive sprinters while being comfortable enough for all-day club rides. There are those that overlook titanium because of the weight penalty over some of the lightest carbon offerings. This frame has weighed in for us at 1220 grams for a 56cm. While this is not as light as some of the carbon offerings in that price range, it's not far off. As a comparison, a Parlee Altum in that size has weighed in at 790g, a Pinarello Dogma hovers around 1100g, depending on the paint job, a Bianchi XR2 is a 1040g frame. When you consider the 454gram to 1 lbs conversion, you're talking about a frame that's within a pound of some of the best bikes on the market, but with the ability to get custom sizing and lifetime durability. If you're a techie, this frame has all the features that you would expect in a bike of this caliber. It has an oversized 44mm head tube for a tapered fork (to improve steering precision), it has a PF30 bottom bracket shell to help maximize torsional and lateral stiffness, it has CNC'd drop-outs, and of course Di2, EPS or eTap compatibility. Moots has recently added finish options such as polished logs, anodizing, and engraved head tubes.

Arundel Dave-O Carbon Cage
$59.95
If you're looking for carbon fiber bottle cages it simply doesn't get better than Arundel. These guys have been making them longer than almost everyone else. They are light and strong. While carbon cages certainly aren't guaranteed to last and are considered "race-level" equipment these will hold up better than just about any other carbon cage out there. From the manufacturer: The Dave-O cage is perhaps iconic, as before 2001 bottle cages didn't look or work like this. A classic shape with superior performance. Dave-O's are still the benchmark of quality in carbon bottle cages. Weight: 30 grams
Arundel Sport Cage
$16.95 - $19.99
If you are looking for a great bottle cage without dropping a ton of cash then look no further than this Arundel Sport Cage. These are light and stylish. They hold the bottle from the side and allow you to use more types of bottles. Best of all, we have yet to encounter one broken one. These seem to last forever. One gentle heads up... there are a few imitators out there, including some very well-known bike brands. They may look the same, but they are not. Some use plastic that is too hard and brittle to get the bottle in and out easily. Others don't have enough surface area coverage to be effective. These are the original and are truly the best we've come across.
Arundel Tubi Seat Bag - Black
$19.99
Tubis are very similar in construction to the Dual but longer and skinnier. It will hold a tubular tire or regular tubes, plus extra supplies. 35 cubic in. From another website: "Enter the Tubi. A Cordura bag designed to fit that tire, it has just enough room for a sew-up, a CO2 cartridge or two and an inflator. There are two small side pockets for loose tools and cash. A single strap in the middle of the bag goes around your seat rails and then the bag. There's a genuine leather tab on the back so the seatpost won't wear through the bag. Expensive tubulars usually fit better than cheapies as the casings are typically thinner and more flexible, so they fold smaller. Start by removing the excess air from the tire. Then, you can start folding at the valve stem with the tire around four fingers of your hand and go from there, wrapping tightly the whole way. The Arundel Tubi can also be used for people who ride clinchers and either like carrying a folding tire in their bag or just like having extra tubes and tools along for the ride. The Tubi is a great option, too, if you ride a mountain bike and you aren't keen on wearing a pack. You can fit a couple of fat MTB tubes, some CO2, and a multitool with space to spare. Be well-prepared sans back sweat! The Arundel Tubi has 28 cubic inches of internal volume. The dimensions are 7"x4"x1". Claimed weight is 82g."
